A vehicle‘s odometer reading is not required to be disclosed on transfers of the following vehicles: [PL 2005, c. 683, Pt. A, §49 (RPR).]
1. Not self-propelled. A vehicle that is not self-propelled; or

Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 752-A
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- State: means a state, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a province of the Dominion of Canada. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 602
- Vehicle: means a vehicle, as defined in section 101, or the body or chassis of any vehicle that is to be dismantled, scrapped or rebuilt. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 602
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
2. Twenty years old. A vehicle, beginning with model year 2011, that is 20 years old or older.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Title, the Secretary of State may require odometer information for any vehicle, as set forth in section 752, upon showing by records or other sufficient evidence that vehicle mileage discrepancies exist. [PL 2005, c. 683, Pt. A, §49 (RPR).]
