Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 902
- Dealer: means a person engaged in the business of buying, selling, exchanging or offering to negotiate, negotiating or advertising the sale of a vehicle or industrial equipment and who has:

The Secretary of State shall act on an application for an initial dealer license or a renewal of such a license within 90 days of receipt of the application. [PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. A, §2 (NEW); PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. B, §5 (AFF).]
If the Secretary of State refuses to grant or renew a license, notice must be given to the applicant that an opportunity for hearing before the Secretary of State will be provided on request to show cause why that license should be granted or renewed.
