Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 30-A Sec. 6002

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
On or before the last day of December in each year, the bank shall make an annual report of its activities for the preceding fiscal year to the Governor. This report shall set forth a complete operating and financial statement covering its operations during the year. The bank shall have an audit of its books and accounts made at least once in each year by certified public accountants. The cost of the audit is considered an expense of the bank.
