Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 30-A Sec. 72
- Adjourn: A motion to adjourn a legislative chamber or a committee, if passed, ends that day's session.
- Majority: when used in reference to age shall mean the age of 18 and over. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
A majority of the commissioners constitutes a quorum. When fewer attend, they may adjourn to a convenient time and place. When no commissioner attends, the clerk may adjourn the meeting.
