Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 8102
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Person: means any natural person, firm, association, partnership, corporation, government agency or subdivision, or any employee or agent thereof. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 8103
The purpose of this chapter is to regulate any person, firm, corporation or other legal entity engaged in the business of private investigation. [PL 2011, c. 366, §7 (AMD).]
