• Acupuncture: means the insertion of fine metal needles through the skin at specific points on or near the surface of the body with or without the palpation of specific points on the body and with or without the application of electric current or heat to the needles or skin, or both. • Acupuncture intern: means an acupuncture student enrolled in an acupuncture internship program approved by the board that involves practical training, including needle insertion on human subjects. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 12501
• Board: means the Board of Complementary Health Care Providers. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 12501
• Department: means the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 12501
• Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
• Person: means any individual, firm, partnership, corporation or other association or organization. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 12501
• Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
