- Department: means the Department of Health and Human Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 4201
- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
- Tattoo: means to insert pigment under the skin of a human being by pricking with a needle or otherwise so as to produce an indelible mark or figure visible through the skin. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 4201
