Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 33 Sec. 173-A
- Purchaser: means a transferee in any of the types of transactions described in section 172. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 33 Sec. 171
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
- Seller: means the owner of the residential real property that is for sale, exchange, sale under an installment contract or lease with an option to buy. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 33 Sec. 171
Beginning January 1, 2004, unless the transaction is exempt under section 172, the seller of residential real property shall provide to the purchaser information developed by the Director of the Bureau of Health within the Department of Health and Human Services regarding what homeowners should know about arsenic in private water supplies and arsenic in treated wood.
