Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 34-A Sec. 9886
- Adult: means both an individual legally classified as an adult and a juvenile treated as an adult by court order, statute or operation of law. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 34-A Sec. 9872
- Offender: means an adult placed under, or subject to, supervision as the result of the commission of a criminal offense and released to the community under the jurisdiction of courts, paroling authorities or corrections or other criminal justice agencies. - State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia and any other territorial possession of the United States. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 34-A Sec. 9872
Violation of the requirements of an interstate compact for adult offender supervision as enacted by the sentencing state is a Class D crime as provided in Title 17-A, section 759. [PL 2003, c. 706, Pt. B, §7 (NEW).]
