- Adult: means a person who has attained the age of 18 years. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
- Month: means a calendar month. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
- Tax: means the total amount required to be paid, withheld and paid over or collected and paid over with respect to estimated or actual tax liability under this Title, any credit or reimbursement allowed or paid pursuant to this Title that is recoverable by the assessor and any amount assessed by the assessor pursuant to this Title, including any interest or penalties provided by law. All excise tax revenue collected by the assessor pursuant to this chapter on the sale of adult use cannabis must be deposited into the General Fund, except that, on or before the last day of each month, the assessor shall transfer 12% of the excise tax revenue received during the preceding month pursuant to this chapter to the Adult Use Cannabis Public Health and Safety and Municipal Opt-in Fund established in Title 28?B, section 1101.
