If a member or a former member who is receiving a disability retirement allowance dies as a result of an injury received in the line of duty, benefits are paid on the same basis as provided for members of the State Employee and Teacher Retirement Program by Title 5, chapter 423, subchapter 5, article 5. Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 4 Sec. 1356
- Member: means a judge who is included in the membership of the Maine Judicial Retirement System as provided in section 1301. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 4 Sec. 1201
- Retirement: means the termination of membership service with a retirement allowance granted under this chapter. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 4 Sec. 1201
