Under the Maine Revised Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

Class E crime | up to 6 months | up to $1,000 |
An owner, lessee, tenant or licensee of a pavilion, hall or other building in which a dance is held in violation of any restriction imposed by section 161 commits a Class E crime. [PL 2007, c. 82, §1 (AMD).]
