- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Operator: means a person or entity who owns or controls, or who has operational responsibility for, a roller-skating rink. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 8 Sec. 604
- Skater: means a person in a roller-skating rink for the purpose of skating. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 8 Sec. 604
A skater or operator who violates this subchapter is liable to an injured person in a civil action for damages resulting from the violation. [PL 1991, c. 124 (NEW).]
