- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Operator: means a private person or entity who owns or controls or who has operational responsibility for an ice-skating rink. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 8 Sec. 622
- Skater: means a person in an ice-skating rink for the purpose of skating. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 8 Sec. 622
A skater or operator who violates this chapter is liable to an injured person in a civil action for damages resulting from the violation. [PL 1991, c. 648 (NEW).]
