Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 9-B Sec. 121
- Bureau: means the Bureau of Financial Institutions. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 9-B Sec. 131
- Financial institution: means a universal bank or limited purpose bank organized under the provisions of this Title, and a trust company, nondepository trust company, savings bank, industrial bank or savings and loan association organized under the prior laws of this State. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 9-B Sec. 131
There is created under this Title a Bureau of Financial Institutions, which has the responsibility of administering the provisions of this Title. In addition, in cases in which a financial institution is the creditor, the Bureau of Financial Institutions has the responsibility of administering the provisions of the Maine Consumer Credit Code pursuant to Title 9?A, section 1?301, subsection 2.
