- County: means a county of the State or Baltimore City. See
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- state: means :
(1) a state, possession, territory, or commonwealth of the United States; or
(2) the District of Columbia. See
(b) The Board serves as the metropolitan planning organization for federal funding and certification as required by federal law.
(c) The Board consists of:
(1) the Mayor of the City of Annapolis;
(2) the County Executive of Anne Arundel County;
(3) the Mayor of Baltimore City;
(4) the County Executive of Baltimore County;
(5) the President of the Carroll County Commissioners;
(6) the County Executive of Harford County;
(7) the County Executive of Howard County;
(8) the Secretary of Transportation;
(9) the Secretary of the Environment;
(10) the Secretary of Planning; and
(11) as authorized under 23 U.S.C. §§ 134 and 135:
(i) the chief executive officer or president of the board of commissioners of any other jurisdiction; and
(ii) the secretary or chief appointed official of any other unit of State government.
