Terms Used In Maryland Code, EDUCATION 5-208

County: means a county of the State or Baltimore City. See
Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.

Any employer Social Security contributions required by federal law for any employee of a county board or local school system shall remain the obligation of the employer.
