- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
Each year, each bail bondsman must certify to the Commissioner, on a form that the Commissioner requires, that the majority of the bail bondsman’s income is from providing bail bondsman services.
