- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

Under the authority granted by § 6-204(i) of this subtitle, the Maryland Port Administration may operate and maintain the port facility presently under its jurisdiction at Cambridge, Maryland. The operation and maintenance may include the leasing of the facility. The Maryland Port Administration may expend the necessary funds for the development of the port facility at Cambridge. The Administration may sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the facility in accordance with § 10-305 of the State Finance and Procurement Article.
