Section 22. In addition to the duties imposed by law upon the treasurer of a credit union or the officer or employee thereof charged with the duties and functions usually preformed by the treasurer, he shall also be responsible for the performance of all acts and duties required of such corporation by the provisions of chapter one hundred and sixty-seven or one hundred and seventy-one except in so far as such performance has been expressly imposed on some other officer or employee of such credit union by its regulations or by-laws or by provision of law.
