Section 13. The records, papers and documents of the district courts may, subject to the approval of the supervisor of public records, be stored and kept in the trial court electronic document management system or in fireproof rooms, vaults and safes, provided by the commonwealth in the towns where the divisions are respectively situated, or in the courthouses.
