Section 57. Property which has been replevied from an attaching officer shall not be further attached as the property of the original defendant in any manner other than is provided in the four preceding sections and in section forty-seven, so long as it is held by the plaintiff in replevin or by any person holding under him, unless the original defendant has acquired a new title thereto.
