Section 97. Whoever wilfully mars or injures the walls, wainscoting or any other part of a court house, jail or house of correction, or of any other building or room used for county business, or the appurtenances thereof, by cutting, writing or otherwise, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than two years or by a fine of not less than one hundred nor more than one thousand dollars. Any person convicted under the provisions of this section shall, in addition to any fine assessed, reimburse the county for the total amount of damage incurred.
