Section 42. Whoever bets or wagers or sells pools on any boxing or sparring match or exhibition shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than three months or by a fine of not less than fifty dollars, or both; provided, however, that such provisions shall not apply to sports wagering conducted pursuant to chapter 23N.
