Section 4. The trustees shall determine the time and place of their meeting. Nine members shall constitute a quorum. Meetings of the board of trustees shall be subject to the provisions of said sections eleven A and eleven A1/2 of said chapter thirty A; provided, that in addition to the purposes enumerated in said section eleven A1/2, the trustees may hold an executive session for the following purposes:—

- Executive session: A portion of the Senate's daily session in which it considers executive business.
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
(1) to consider the award of honorary degrees;
(2) to consider the award of tenure to a member of the faculty.
