Section 8B. No person in possession of property which has been taken under the provisions of this chapter shall be required to vacate any portion of such property which is being used by him as a dwelling place or place of business at the time the order of taking is made until four months after notice of such taking has been given to him in accordance with the provisions of section seven C.

No tenant or lessee in possession of property which has been taken under the provisions of this chapter, but who is not entitled to notice of such taking under the provisions of section seven C, shall be required to vacate any portion of such property which is being used by him as a dwelling place or place of business at the time the order of taking is made until four months after notice of such taking has been given him in writing by certified mail, by personal service, or by leaving an attested copy thereof at his last and usual place of abode, if he is a resident of the commonwealth, or at the portion of the property taken which is so used by him.
