Massachusetts Constitution Amendments Article CII
Article LII of the Articles of Amendment to the Constitution is hereby annulled and the following is adopted in place thereof:-
Terms Used In Massachusetts Constitution Amendments Article CII
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Recess: A temporary interruption of the legislative business.
Article LII. The General Court, by concurrent vote of the two houses, may take a recess or recesses amounting to not more than thirty days.
