Terms Used In Michigan Laws 123.1279
- Authority: means a lighting authority incorporated under this act. See Michigan Laws 123.1263
- Board: means the board of directors of an authority. See Michigan Laws 123.1263
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
Unless the board, by resolution, establishes a different fiscal year, the fiscal year of the authority shall commence on July 1 of each year and end on the following June 30.
