Terms Used In Michigan Laws 125.1461

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
     Nonprofit housing corporations shall be incorporated pursuant to the provisions of this chapter and the nonprofit corporation act, Act No. 162 of the Public Acts of 1982, being section 450.2101 to 450.3192 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
