Terms Used In Michigan Laws 125.3303

  • Legislative body: means the county board of commissioners of a county, the board of trustees of a township, or the council or other similar elected governing body of a city or village. See Michigan Laws 125.3102
  • Zoning commission: means a zoning commission as described under section 301. See Michigan Laws 125.3102
    (1) With the approval of the legislative body, the zoning commission may engage the services of a planning expert. Compensation for the planning expert shall be paid by the legislative body.
    (2) The zoning commission shall consider any information and recommendations furnished by appropriate public officials, departments, or agencies.
