- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The attorney general shall designate and appoint 1 or more assistant attorneys general and such clerks, stenographers and employees as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this act. Such assistant attorneys general shall give a bond to the state of Michigan in the penal sum of 30,000 dollars each, to be filed with the secretary of state, conditioned to fully account for and pay over all moneys collected under the terms of this act. The said collection department shall be under the direction and control of the attorney general, subject to the general supervision of the state administrative board.
