- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The Michigan state safety commission created under Act No. 188 of the Public Acts of 1941, being section 256.561 to 256.563 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, is transferred by a type II transfer to the department of state police.
