(1) Nothing contained in this act shall be held or considered to change or affect the liability of the state treasurer or his or her bail, on his or her bond to this state.
(2) Loans made under this act are not subject to the revised municipal finance act, 2001 PA 34, MCL 141.2101 to 141.2821.

- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (3) Loans made under this act are subject to the agency financing reporting act, 2002 PA 470, MCL 129.171 to 129.177.
