Terms Used In Michigan Laws 247.332
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Highway: means every way or place of whatever nature open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel in this state. See Michigan Laws 247.331
- Municipality: means any city or incorporated village. See Michigan Laws 247.331
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
Persons, firms, corporations and municipalities may enter upon, construct and maintain bus passenger shelters with all necessary erections and fixtures therefor upon that portion of any highway lying within the corporate limits of municipalities. Every person, firm, corporation and municipality before any of the work of construction and erection is commenced shall obtain the consent of the duly constituted authorities of the municipality.
