Terms Used In Michigan Laws 254.229

  • Authority: means the international bridge authority of Michigan created by section 2 of 1935 PA 237, MCL 254. See Michigan Laws 254.221
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
     Any holder of bonds issued under the provisions of this act or any of the coupons appertaining thereto, and the trustee under any trust agreement, except to the extent the rights herein given may be restricted by such trust agreement or the resolution authorizing the issuance of such bonds, may, either at law or in equity, by suit, action, mandamus or other proceeding, protect and enforce any and all rights under the laws of the state or granted hereunder or under such trust agreement or resolution, and may enforce and compel the performance of all duties required by this act or by such trust agreement or resolution to be performed by the authority or by any officer thereof, including the fixing, charging and collecting of tolls.
