- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The airport authority shall be a body corporate with power to sue or be sued in any court of this state and may exercise any and all powers necessary and incident to the acquisition, construction, improvement, enlargement, extension, ownership, maintenance and operation of the landing, navigational and building facilities necessary thereto of 1 or more community airports.
