Terms Used In Michigan Laws 290.161
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
The word “person” as used herein, shall be construed to include any grower, dealer, shipper, corporation, society, association or their agent or representative. The act, omission or failure to act of any official or employe of any person, when such official or employe is acting within the scope of his employment of office, shall in every case be deemed also the act, omission, or failure to act of the person as well as the official or employe.
