(1) All procedure shall be in conformity with this code, with rules which may be promulgated by the adjutant general, and where not inconsistent, with the manual for courts-martial United States, 1969.
    (2) The rules of evidence generally recognized in this state as applied to criminal cases shall apply in cases before military courts.

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Military: includes each armed force of the United States and each component of the state military establishment. See Michigan Laws 32.1002
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.   • United States: shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
