- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
The persons desirous of procuring such new certificate, shall in every case furnish the said commissioner, as the basis of his action, with the certificate of the supervisor of the township in which the lands are situated, verified by his oath, that he is acquainted with the true condition, quality, quantity and location of said lands, and the proposed division of the same, and that in his opinion, such division could be made without injury to the normal school fund; and the said commissioner may require any other evidence which he may deem necessary in the premises.
