Terms Used In Michigan Laws 324.63104
- operator: means a person who owns or leases the plant and equipment utilized in a mining area and is engaged in the business of mining ferrous minerals or preparing to engage in mining operations. See Michigan Laws 324.63101
- Supervisor of reclamation: means the department. See Michigan Laws 324.63101
The supervisor of reclamation, on application by the landowner or operator, may modify or permit variance from the rules promulgated under this part if the supervisor of reclamation determines that the modification or variance is not contrary to the public interest.
