- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Hospital: includes public health centers and general, tuberculosis, mental, chronic disease, and other types of hospitals, and related facilities, such as laboratories, out-patient departments, nurses' home and training facilities, and central service facilities operated in connection with hospitals, but does not include any hospital furnishing primarily domiciliary care. - person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
Any such hospital or person acting in behalf of such hospital violating these minimum standards of maintenance and operation shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined not more than $100.00 for the first offense and not more than $200.00 for each subsequent offense, and each day of a continuing violation after conviction shall be considered a separate offense.
