Terms Used In Michigan Laws 333.17437
- Optometrist: means an individual licensed under this article to engage in the practice of optometry. See Michigan Laws 333.17401
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. Except for a licensee from another state who is seeking licensure in this state, an optometrist licensed after the effective date of this section who intends to obtain certification to administer diagnostic pharmaceutical agents and to administer and prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents shall obtain the certification at the time of initial licensure.
