Terms Used In Michigan Laws 333.26456
- Eligible patient: means an individual who meets all of the following conditions:
(i) Has an advanced illness, attested to by the patient's treating physician. See Michigan Laws 333.26451state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
An official, employee, or agent of this state shall not block or attempt to block an eligible patient‘s access to an investigational drug, biological product, or device. Counseling, advice, or a recommendation consistent with medical standards of care from a licensed health care provider is not a violation of this section.
