Terms Used In Michigan Laws 338.1077
- Department: means the department of licensing and regulatory affairs, except that in reference to the regulation of private security police and private college security forces, department means the department of state police. See Michigan Laws 338.1052
The department may employ such agents as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this act and to enforce compliance therewith. The department and each agent employed by him, in respect to violations of any of the provisions of this act, has all the powers of a peace officer. All rules and regulations of the department shall be made in accordance with the provisions of Act No. 88 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended, being section 24.71 to 24.80 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, and subject to Act No. 197 of the Public Acts of 1952, as amended, being section 24.101 to 24.110 of the Compiled Laws of 1948.
