Terms Used In Michigan Laws 339.5521
- Department: means the department of licensing and regulatory affairs. See Michigan Laws 339.5103
- Person: means an individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, association, limited liability company, corporation, or common law trust or a combination of those legal entities. See Michigan Laws 339.5107
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
- Testify: Answer questions in court.
The department or the department of the attorney general may petition a circuit court to issue a subpoena that requires the person subpoenaed to appear or testify or produce relevant documentary material for examination at a proceeding conducted under section 515 or 519.
