- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The combined amount of the tuition differential grant, and if also received, a tuition grant as established by Act No. 313 of the Public Acts of 1966 or a state competitive scholarship as established by Act No. 208 of the Public Acts of 1964 awarded to an individual student shall not exceed the level of tuition and fees for the full academic year assessed by the college or university in which the student is enrolled.
