Terms Used In Michigan Laws 397.177
- District: means the territory of the participating municipalities that is served by a district library established under this act. See Michigan Laws 397.172
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
A district library established pursuant to this act constitutes an authority under section 6 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963.
