Terms Used In Michigan Laws 418.815

  • employee: means :
    (a) A person in the service of the state, a county, city, township, village, or school district, under any appointment, or contract of hire, express or implied, oral or written. See Michigan Laws 418.161
     No agreement by an employee to waive his rights to compensation under this act shall be valid except that employees or their dependents as defined in section 161, after injury only, may elect as provided in section 161.
