Terms Used In Michigan Laws 433.353
- Carrier pigeon: means homing and racing pigeons which have the name of the owner stamped upon the wing or tail, or are banded upon the leg with the name or initials of the owner or with an identification or registration number stamped on the band. See Michigan Laws 433.351
- Department: means the health department of any city, village, township, or county and shall include the head of such department or any employee acting in his stead. See Michigan Laws 433.351
- Loft: means any structure in which carrier pigeons are housed. See Michigan Laws 433.351
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
A person to whom the department has issued a carrier pigeon permit may erect and maintain a loft of carrier or racing pigeons in the city, village, township, or county.
