- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The powers and duties of all officers holding office under any corporation organized under this act, shall be defined by the by-laws of such corporation, except so far as they are defined in this act.
